Why does this guy have to be such a good and true Catholic all the while seeming to be a rational and intelligent human being? He is going to turn me Catholic again for Pete's sake.

Frank (we are old friends) was addressing the Pontifical Academy of Sciences (stop laughing!) and he zigged away from the zag of Genesis. He basically wrapped his arms around the Big Bang theory of creation and made clear that this AS WELL AS EVOLUTION are compatible with a belief in God. He mentioned Genesis by name and said that it makes God seem like a magician. I f-ing love this guy.

I still believe that embracing the idea of God having created the Big Bang and evolution leads to laziness with regard to discovery, but I'll take this much more rational Catholic vision any day.

I am working a double. That's 16 hours for those who count. And this is the second double-day in a row. I did 16 hours yesterday too. I got four hours of sleep this afternoon and I am completely refreshed. Completely. Yep.

Everything I see is sharp. High-contrast. I think my eyes are going to give me another headache. I wear glasses and so I already think the compromised quality of my vision alters my perspective. Sometimes when I am tired, everything gets watercolor blurry. Watercolors can allow for some incredible renderings. They can also accept the random flow of liquid and have the visual data slip plus or minus there true representation.

I am going to have coffee now and I am sure I will have a headache in about 30-40 minutes.

So, the Voter ID Law in Texas will racially discriminate and disenfranchise tens of thousands of voters in order to quell the non-epidemic of voter fraud. Maybe those who are overly concerned with voter fraud (Republicans) know that this will keep black people, who vote overwhelmingly for Democrats, from being able to vote. Too bad the Supreme Court has a conservative majority otherwise they might put an end to this modern day poll tax.

Everyday. This happens everyday. I get a headache. Sometimes they are migraines. Sometimes, they are a moderate pain. Uhg, I want this to stop.

Maybe I should try not drinking so much damn coffee for once. Maybe that might be a good idea. Or I could just go grab a fist-full of ibuprofen like always. I hope my basic pains never develop an immunity to ibuprofen. That will seriously be my end.

I have been getting daily headaches for months now. I haven't seen a doctor. I haven't even thought about seeing a doctor. I'd like the headaches to stop but their prevalence and frequency aren't to a level where I want medical help. I don't know. Some times (quite often), I am stupid.

I know its that damn coffee. I drink a pot of coffee a day. Sometimes, two. I need it. I work the graveyard shift at a hospital and I need the caffeine. It is hard to function. I have been in this gig for seven years now and a zombie for all of them. The coffee is the only thing that keeps me from simply being animated meat.
